Why The Gathering?
We are Gathering as everyday people. We understand that the Church setting can be intimidating for some. We are Gathering as people who love Jesus. We understand that all have struggles with sin and the things of life. We want to walk with you into a deeper relationship with Jesus and His people.
Fellowship:
There will be some time to hang out with other people, drink coffee and visit. We want to know each other. It’s important that we don’t just sneak in late and leave early. We want to know you.
Worship:
There will be a time of musical worship. We will sing and worship God as we gather together. We understand that not everyone is made with an amazing voice but God has called us to sing songs of praise to Him.
Teaching:
There will be a time of teaching from God’s word. We must dig in and get to know Him and the plans He has for us. There will be times of preaching from God’s word, times of testimonies from other people, and times where we may break into smaller groups to discuss and chew on what the Bible is teaching us.
Prayer:
We will pray together. Prayer is how we communicate with God. We want to give Him our thanks, our praise, and our problems. We will do this all together and there will be times we will break up into smaller groups where we can pray specifically for one another.
What To Expect?
As you come into a new adventure, there can be some anxiety about what to expect. Here are some things that you can expect as you come visit us at The Gathering. We expect that most Sunday Gatherings will last around an hour and a half. This may be a new thing for you. Our hope is that we all get to know each other, so spending time together and sharing with one another will be a time that you will come to enjoy.
Serve:
What gifts has God given you to help serve His kingdom? If he would like to serve in some capacity please contact us and let us know where God is leading you to serve.
Communion:
We will be participating in a time of communion each week we Gather. Communion is something Jesus commanded us to do. Communion is a time of reflection on what Jesus did for us by dying on the cross and bearing the sins of the world. Jesus was the perfect sacrifice for our sin.
Youth Ministry:
Middle & High Schoolers are welcome to join us, usually a couple times a month, for a time of fun & teaching. We want to help our teens grow their relationship with God & know they are an important part of our church family.
Children’s Church:
We know it takes a lot of work getting the family out the door. We want Moms and Dads to be able to get settled into their time of worship without their wigglers driving them mad. Kids 3-11 can attend our Kids Class and we also have a nursery for our littlest gatherers, 0-2 years old!
